Q: I have an item I would like signed by multiple athletes, may I send it in? Is there an additional charge for this?
A: Yes, you may send in your items to be signed by multiple athletes. There is no additional fee. Follow our step-by-step instructions located on the How To Send... page click here
Q: What color pen do you use?
A: Please indicate what color pen you would like your item signed in. Also indicate what type of pen. If this is not indicated, all cards and photos will be signed with blue sharpie and all balls will be signed with blue ballpoint.
Q: Do you guarantee my item will be signed?
A: Chris Potter Sports will make every effort to have your collectible signed; however, athletes reserve the right to refuse to sign any item for any reason.
Q: I would like my item signed in a specific way. Can your company handle special requests?
A: Yes. Please include specific instructions on how you would like your item signed on your Mail Order Form click here. Chris Potter Sports will make every effort to have your item(s) signed to your specifications; however, we cannot guarantee that the athlete will comply.
Q: If I am sending multiple items, can I ship them in one package?
A: Yes, always remember to include a "Mail Order Form" click here with any order you send in. For possible quicker return of your items, please send in ONE SASE for each player. We will mail the "Single SASEs" directly from the signing location. All other SASEs and return shipping will be processed when we return to the office.
Q: Do you accept SASE's (self-addressed stamped envelope)?
A: Yes, please be sure to apply sufficient return postage. We also recommend you add delivery confirmation and insurance to all orders.
Q: I have a multi-signed piece, may I send it in?
A: Yes, we take great pride in handling your items. Please visit "How to send…" click here for instructions on how to send us your item safely.
Q: Do you know how to use paint pens?
A: Yes, we are very experienced in using metallic markers and are aware of their difficult nature.
Q: Can I have my item personalized to me?
A: Yes, this may be an extra charge. If there is no price listed for an inscription then the inscription is free. Please indicate the requested inscription on the Mail Order Form. click here Each athlete has the right to refuse to sign a requested inscription or personalization.
Q: Will you use the pen I send?
A: Yes, feel free to send a pen along with your item. That pen will be used to sign your item. Also be sure to mark this on your "Mail order form". click here
Q: Are there any additional fees associated with sending in an item?

Q: What is the deadline for sending in mail-order items for a signing?
A: Signing deadlines vary. Please ensure that your item(s) are received by the date indicated on the Upcoming Signings page. click here
Q: How will my item be returned?
A: Your item will be returned according to your instructions indicated on the Mail Order Form click here. Please see our Shipping policies below.
Q: I don't have an item to send in. Do you have items for sale?
A: Yes, we have unsigned Rawlings Official Major League baseball's for $15.00/ea., 8x10's for $5.00/ea., 16x20s for $25.00/ea. and bats for $30.00/ea.
Q: Will you take a photograph of the player signing my item?
A: Yes, there is a $10.00 service charge per photo. There must be written request of this when mailing your item.
Q: How long will it take to get my item back?
A: There is always a posted return date for our signings. This date is an approximation and may vary. Traveling to each player individually requires our schedule to be flexible. While we make every attempt to meet our return shipping deadlines, we ask that you please understand that the nature of our business is very different from other businesses, which sometimes results in delays in sending your item back to you by the return date indicated. In an effort to return your items to you more quickly, we will mail the “Single SASEs” (one SASE provided for ONE player) directly from the signing location. If you provided separate SASEs for each player, you will receive your full order staggered as signings are completed. If you provided only one SASE for your entire order or purchased our shipping, your order will be shipped as soon we return from our trip. Q: How do I place an order to have an item you provide signed?
A: Feel free to contact us click here through e-mail, phone or simply fill out a "Mail Order Form" click here and mail it in with the appropriate funds.
Q: I have never done this before, can I e-mail you to help walk me through the process?

Q: I would rather you ship my item back to me and not use an SASE. Is this possible?
A: Yes, we offer return shipping of your item if you would rather not use an SASE. Please see our shipping prices below. Please "Contact us" click here if you have a different item that you would like us to ship back.
Q: Can I Fed ex or UPS my item to you?
A: Yes, please be sure to have your Fed-Ex/UPS account number noted on your "Mail Order Form". click here If you do not have an account number, please "Contact us" click here for shipping rates.
Q: Can I send my SASE along with pre-paid postage printed from the USPS website?
A: Unfortunately, we are unable to accept self-addressed stamped envelopes which include pre-printed postage from the USPS website. According to the USPS, pre-paid postage printed from the USPA website is only valid for the date it was printed and/or purchased and cannot be used to return your item. We suggest sending individual stamps equal to the amount of your postage, use our shipping service or use pre-printed postage through another carrier such as UPS of FedEx. Please see our shipping prices below for more information.
Q: Can you add delivery confirmation and insurance to my SASE for me?
A: No, if you would like delivery confirmation and insurance added to the return of your item, please purchase our shipping services instead of providing an SASE.
Q: How much does your shipping service cost?
Cards: 1-50 cards = $8.00, 51-100 cards = $12.00

Q: Do you provide shipping delivery confirmation and insurance?
A: Our standard shipping includes delivery confirmation. If you would like to purchase insurance for your return shipping, please include an additional $1.50 per $100 insurance coverage. Please indicate the insurance coverage purchase on your Mail Order Form click here. Mail in items are sent in at customer’s risk. We recommend that you provide/purchase insurance on all items sent in. Chris Potter Sports is not responsible for items lost or damaged in the mail.
Q: Can you ship to counties outside of the United States?
A: Stated shipping rates are for the USA only. For shipping outside the US, please email us for rates. Shipments outside the US may be subject to import charges and taxes and are responsibility of the purchaser.
Q: Do you offer rush delivery?
A: Unfortunately, due to the nature of our business and the large quantity of items we receive for each signing, we are unable to provide rush delivery. You may indicate on your Mail Order Form your preference for a rush delivery; however, we can not guarantee that we will be able to accommodate your request.
Q: Your return shipping date is over a month after the deadline. Why is that?
A: Chris Potter Sports travels to each player individually obtaining the athletes autographs on your behalf. As such, our signings take many weeks complete.
Q: Is your Return Shipping Date guaranteed to be the date my item is shipped back to me?
A: While we strive to stay on schedule, we will sometimes encounter circumstances beyond our control (bad weather, player schedule conflicts, etc) that delay our signings, thus delaying the return of your items. You are welcome to call our office at any time for an update on our signings and the return of your items. Also, we provide signings updates via our Newsletter- Please Contact Us to join our newsletter. If you need your item returned to you by a specific date, please indicate this on your Mail Order Form and we will make every effort to accommodate your request.
Q: Is there any way to receive my item sooner than the return shipping date?
A: In an effort to return your items to you more quickly, we will mail the “Single SASEs” (one SASE provided for ONE player) directly from the signing location. Please provide a separate SASEs for each player if you would like to receive your items directly from the signing location, which may be several days or weeks prior to the return shipping date. This is not a guarantee to receive your item more quickly.
If you provide separate SASEs for each player, you will receive your full order staggered as signings are completed. If you provide only one SASE for your entire order or purchased our shipping, your order will be shipped as soon as we return from all of the signings. Please also feel free to call our office at any time for an update on our signings. We appreciate your patience and thank you in advance.
Q: Can I drop off and pick up my items instead of mailing them?
A: We are often available for pick-ups and drop offs at our office location. Please contact us ahead of time to ensure that we will be in the office to receive you.
We also often attend various baseball card shows where we will be more than happy to receive and return your items. If picking up your items from one of our baseball card show locations, please call one week prior to the show to ensure that we will have your item in our possession while attending the show. If we are not called prior to attending the show, your item will remain in our office and we will have to make other arrangements for its return to you.
Q: What are your Payment Policies?
- We accept Check, Money Order, PayPal, Visa, MasterCard & Discover. We do not recommend sending cash through the mail but we will accept cash payments as well.
- Please make checks and money orders out to: Chris Potter Sports
- Any bounced check will result in a $35.00 fee.
- Payment is due at the time of your order. If payment is not sufficient, items will not be returned until balance is paid in full.
- The prices that are listed are per autograph as well as inscription prices.
- All Maryland residents will be subject to applicable 6% sales tax.
- All coupons, gift certificates and credit vouchers must be included along with your order to be redeemed.
Postponements, Cancellations and Returns
Q: What is your "Postponement Policy"?
A: The return ship date is an estimate. The actual return ship date may vary. Traveling to each player individually requires our schedule to be flexible. While we make every attempt to meet our return shipping deadlines, we ask that you please understand that the nature of our business is very different from other businesses, which sometimes results in delays in sending your item back to you by the date indicated. We will hold your item(s) until the signing is completed, unless otherwise requested.
We will promptly inform you of any postponements and cancellations via our email newsletter. We also post any cancellations and postponements on our website. Please also feel free to call our office at any time for an update on our signings. We appreciate your patience and thank you in advance.
Q: What if an athlete cancels their signing?
A: In the event of a cancellation, your item(s) will be returned to you by the return shipping date indicated in the Postponements & Cancellations section of our website. Your item(s) will be returned with an option for a credit or refund. If you choose the “credit option,” we will hold a credit on file until your next order. Simply deduct the amount of the credit from your next order. If you choose the “refund option,” please contact us for a full refund check.
Q: If I am issued a refund, are shipping fees also refundable?
A: If you mailed in your own item, your item will be shipped back to you. In this case shipping charges are non-refundable.
Q: If I am unhappy with the appearance of the autograph, can I get a refund?
A: We make every effort to have your item signed to your specifications; however, we do not guarantee the quality or location of the autograph you receive; therefore, we cannot offer refunds in this case. We ask that you follow the step-by-step instructions located on the How To Send... page click here to help ensure that your item is signed to your specifications.
Q: How do I know my item will be signed by the player?
A: We always take pictures during our signings. Please visit "Previous Signing Photos" click here to view pictures from our previous signings. We also offer a Digital Proof Picture of the athlete signing your item. This service is $10.00 per item photographed. Proof Pictures will be emailed to you after we return back to the office from completing all of the signings.
Q: Can you provide Certificates of Authenticity? If so, how much extra is it?
A: Yes, there must be written request of this on your "Mail Order Form" click here. COAs come with a serial numbered Hologram placed indiscreetly onto your item. No exceptions. The charge for a COA & Hologram is $5.00 each.
Q: Do you provide authentication of items other than those sent in for your signings?
A: No, we cannot authenticate items unless they have been signed in our presence.
Q: Do you provide appraisal services?
A: No, we do not offer appraisal services.

Q: Do you have insurance to cover my item while it is in your possession?
A: Chris Potter Sports has obtained insurance to cover your item(s) while in our possession; however, due to policy limitations we strongly suggest that you obtain insurance on your items in the event of a loss that is beyond our control. In the event of a covered loss, you will be asked to provide proof of purchase and value of your item such as pictures, receipts and appraisals.
